UDHAMPUR, Dec 29: Jammu Kashmir General Line Teachers Forum has appealed the State Government to lift ban on tuition by Government teachers.
The demand was raised during a meeting of the Forum, held here today, under the chairmanship of State general secretary Rakesh Singh to review the scenario of Education Department in J&K.
The meet explained that in far flung areas, there are no private tutorials and the Government teachers are only sources of guidance for the students.
Expressing satisfaction over the new transfer policy in Education Department, the Forum opined that a separate transfer policy for female regularized ReTs should be framed. The female regularized ReT Teachers deserve to be transferred after marriage but such transfers should be only against SSA post and not against SSRB post due to the problem of Plan and Non-Plan head, the Forum members explained.
