RCC Srinagar thrashes New Star by 56 runs

JAMMU, Dec 30: Rainawari Cricket Club, Srinagar thrashed New Star Cricket Club by a big margin of 56 runs in the ongoing 3rd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here today.
Winning the toss and batting first, RCC scored a decent total of 144 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ankit Basan, Akash Choudhary and Honey contributed 32, 20 and 14 runs to the total respectively. For New Star, Love Chib took 4 wickets, while Vishal bagged 3 and Raman claimed one.
In reply, New Star bundled out for 86 runs in 16 overs, thus lost the match by 56 runs. Raman top scored with 28 runs, while Karamjeet contributed 24 runs to the total. Akash Choudhary was the wrecker-in-chief for RCC Srinagar, who scalped 5 important wickets, while Kulvinder Singh claimed 2 and Aman claimed one. Akash Choudhary was adjudged as man of the match.
In another match, Krishna Club defeated Raja CC by 2 wickets in a close contest. Batting first, Raja CC scored 119 runs in the stipulated 20 overs by losing 7 wickets. Rhythm Mahajan and Nipun Verma scored 48 and 45 runs to the total respectively. For Krishna Club, Chesteshwar took 4 wickets, while Sunny and Sanjay bagged 2 wickets each and Raju claimed one wicket.
In reply, Krishna Club scored 120 runs in 18 overs by losing 8 wickets to win the match by 2 wickets. Prince top scored with 47 runs, while Vicky contributed 27 runs to the total. For Raja Club, Rishu bagged 4 wickets, while Sahil took 2 and Nipun Verma one. Prince was declared as man of the match.
