Modi Govt committed to welfare of minorities: Sakina Bano

JAMMU, Dec 30: Union Ministry of Minority Affairs has taken the initiative of reaching out the minority communities namely Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains with a motive of extending them help in their welfare and upliftment. This was stated by Sakina Bano, Co-ordinator for Jammu province, while addressing Press conference here today  along with Social activists Usha Sharma and Surjeet Rampal.
Sakina Bano, while elaborating on various schemes and projects being launched by Narendra Modi led Government under Union Minister of Minority Affairs Dr. Najma Heptulla, said that Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains have been identified as Minorities in the country and Narendra Modi Government is committed for their welfare.
Sakina Bano said that various schemes which have been exclusively designed and launched for the welfare and upliftment of these minorities include “educational scheme”, “Padho Pardesh”, “Naya Savera”, “Nai Udaan”, “Learn and Earn”, “Skill Development”, “Ustaad”, “Women Empowerment Scheme”, “Nai Roshni” and “Metorious Students of Science stream”. She said that these schemes cover the women, youth and unemployed people, who can avail the benefits.
Announcing that her office as Provincial Co-ordinator has started functioning at Kachi Chowni Chowk, Jammu, Sakina Bano said that the people belonging to the minority communities can approach the office on working days to get details of all these schemes. She said that the Jammu office will provide every possible guidance and assistance to the needy people so that the mission of PM Narendra Modi of taking all together under ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’ is fulfilled and no one is deprived of the benefits of welfare schemes meant for them.
