KISHTWAR, Dec 31: T20 Cricket Tournament was conducted by Bhandarkut based Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under the Delta Force at Chogan Ground in Kishtwar.
The month long tournament was an opportunity for the youth of the area to display their sporting skills and bolster their self confidence.
A total of eight teams from different tehsils of District Kishtwar participated in the tournament.
The final match was played between cricket team of Atholi and Gulabgarh. After a competitive and hard fought game, the team from Gulabgarh led by Fida Hussain won the finals with 30 runs to lift Shaheed Ravinder Singh Memorial Cricket Trophy.
Henan Malik of Gulabgarh team was adjudged as man of the match and man of the series as well. He scored 80 runs in the final match.
The final was witnessed by a huge crowd.
Commander 9 Sector Rasht-riya Rifles graced the occasion and presented the prizes and trophies to the winners and the runners-up teams on the occasion.
The youth of the area admired the efforts of Delta Force for organizing the event.
