Jammu native Gurjit Singh appointed Events Manager at ICC

JAMMU, Jan 1: Gurjit Singh, who has recently taken over responsibility of organizing ICC Qualifying Events which are held across the globe is a native of Jammu City.
Gurjit has been working with the ICC from last four years and has been involved in implementing marketing strategies at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, ICC T20 Cup 2014 and 2012 held in Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively and ICC Women’s World Cup 2013 held in Mumbai, among host of other ICC events.
In his capacity as the Events Manager, Gurjit holds additional responsibility of being Tournament Director at the ICC Qualifying Events. As Tournament Director, he is responsible for operational delivery and promotions of these events involving ICC’s Associate and Affiliate members. The most recent event he attended was the ICC WCL played in Essex, England and ICC Women’s WT20 Qualifier in Bangkok.
Gurjit is also involved in strategic consultations to decide ICC qualifying event structures and delivery of ICC Intercontinental Cup involving top Associate members of the ICC. His next assignment is ICC U19 Cricket World Cup starting in January 2016.
