Fencers blossom in School Games, win team bronze

Jammu, Jan 4: Fencers brought laurels to the state of Jammu and Kashmir by winning bronze medal in foil boys team in the recently concluded 61st National School Games 2015-16 (Fencing Boys U-19) held at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.
The team was sponsored by the Department of Youth Services and Sports under the patronage of its Director General, Jahangir Mir.
The fencers namely Parth Jamwal of SP Smart High Secondary School and Tariq Hussain of SRML Ranbir Singh Higher Secondary School and Aanish Kumar claimed the bronze medal in the team event of foil boys category.
The upcoming fencers Parth and Tariq were trained by the Coach Rachna Jamwal of J&K State Sports Council.
However, the parents and the school staff appreciated the hard-work and dedication of the coach in training the young turks, who came out with the flying colours.
