JAMMU, Jan 9: Hindu Shiv Sena (HSS), J&K today expressed serious concern over the fire that broke out in a ward of Government Medical College (GMC), Jammu, last night.
Criticizing the administration of GMC and Associated Hospitals, HSS president, Krishan Manhas, alleged that the incident occurred due to negligence of administration, as neither there was arrangement of fire extinguishers nor the water pipe-line was functioning, which could have been used for extinguishing the fire.
He further alleged that the essential equipments lying in the Jammu hospitals particularly GMC Jammu are in worst condition and there is no proper staff to handle these costly equipments forcing the patients to go outside the State for medical treatment.
