Roads are said to be the lifeline of a city. Roads help in transmission of culture art and languages. Road connectivity is imperative for accelerating development, trade and commerce. The road NH 1 A is of vital importance because it is considered as life line for Jammu and Kashmir.
The people of Samba are made to suffer on account of dilapidated condition of the National Highway especially the road passing through Municipal limits. The road is congested as most of the shopkeepers, hawkers and rehriwalas keep their items on display. The rapid increase in vehicles has resulted in a number of problems such as congestion, frequent road jams and accidents. There is too much traffic and every one is in speed. Heaps of debris is found all obstructions to the movement of vehicles. Day in and day out traffic hazards, traffic jams cause inconvenience to the public in general and employees, businessmen, patients and students in particular. There is need to the gravity of the situation.
The National Highway Authority of India which is responsible for development, maintenance and management needs to take care of this road. These authorities shall come up with plan and suggestions to streamline traffic on this road.
