NEW DELHI, Jan 14: Leading Silicon Valley CEOs, entrepreneurs, technologists and venture capitalists will have an interactive session with President Pranab Mukherjee tomorrow at Rashtrapati Bhavan, a Rashtrapati Bhawan spokesperson said today.
The interactive session is being held on the eve of ‘Start-up India’ initiative to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 16. The ‘Start-up India’ initiative aims at fostering entrepreneurship and promoting innovation by creating an ecosystem that is conducive for growth of Start-ups.
The objective is that India must become a nation of job creators instead of being a nation of job seekers. The purpose of the interactive session with the President is to reiterate the Centre’s commitment to making India the hub of innovation, design and Start-ups.
It is expected that this interaction will bolster the ‘Start-up’ initiative of the Centre and be of inspiration to the entrepreneurs. (UNI)
