JAMMU, Jan 16: Emp-loyees Joint Action Committee (EJAC-K) of State Gove-rnment strongly projected employees’ issues and urged upon the Government to address the same without any more delay.
In a meeting of the EJAC members held at Excise & Taxation complex, Rail Head complex here today under the chairmanship of Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, president; the members discussed the burning issues of the employees. The senior members from Kashmir and Jammu divisions raised the issues of the employees and urged upon the Government to resolve their pending demands.
The major issues of the State employees included removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, regularization of daily wager/ consolidated/ contractual workers, release of 6 % DA, enhancement of Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month, budgetary support to PSUs, extension of Medi-claim policy in favour of non-Gazetted employees and enhancement of wages of Anganwadi workers, helpers etc.
The EJAC members urged upon the State Government to resolve the pending issues of the employees. It was resolved in the meeting that in coming days the EJAC members will march towards Civil Secretariat and meet Chief Secretary for the settlement of pending demands of the employees.
Senior members Balwinder Singh, Shaid Hussain, Nazir Ahmed Bhat, Dharminder Singh, Ravi Singh Bhau, Abdul Aziz, Ravinder Singh, Farooq Ahmed and Harvinder Singh were also present.
