Khalsa Club to lock horns with 20-Punjab in Hockey summit clash

JAMMU, Jan 16: Outplaying their rivals convincingly in the semifinals, Khalsa Club, Gole Gujral and 20-Punjab sealed berth in the finals and will lock horns against each other in the summit clash of the ongoing Jammu District Senior Hockey Tournament, being organized by Hockey J&K at KK Hakhu Astro Turf Hockey Stadium, here.
In the first semifinal, Khalsa Club defeated BSF Kashmir by four goals to one (4-1). For Khalsa Club, the goal were scored by Gurveer Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Balmeet Singh and Agamdeep Singh in 4th, 9th, 32nd and 57th minutes respectively, while Amrit Lakra scored the lone goal for BSF Kashmir in the 47th minute.
In another semifinal, 20-Punjab blanked MBS Simbal Camp by (4-0). Charanveer scored 2 goals for the winners in 7th and 59th minutes, while the other 2 goals were netted by Jaskaran and Sukhminder Singh in 44th and 59th minutes respectively.
Iqbal Singh was the chief guest, while Rajinder Singh was guest of honour on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by Charanjeet Singh, Jogionder Singh, Jagjeet Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Manjeet Singh and Abhishek.
