KATHUA, Jan 19: The CAPD workers who are on strike for last two days today extended the call by another two days in protest against the failure of the Department in conceding their long pending demands.
The workers said that they will continue strike till the demands are met and no loading and unloading was done today with the result no ration was supplied to ration ghats.
The president of CAPD Workers Union Bodh Raj said that for a pretty long time the wages of the CAPD workers were not increased and since this period Fourth, Fifth and Sixth pay commissions were announced for other government employees while the CAPD workers are getting the same wages which they used to get over 30 years back.
