GDC Thannamandi organizes Inter-College Symposium

JAMMU, Jan 20: NSS Unit of Govt Degree College Thannamandi, organized an Inter-College Symposium on the topic “Role of Youth in Making Society Evil Free”.
Students from GDC Nowshera, GDC Budhal, GDC Rajouri, GDC Thannamandi and GDC Surankote participated in the Symposium.
Principal of GDC Rajouri, Prof Shabir Hussain Shah was the chief guest on the occasion who also delivered a detailed lecturer on the topic and appreciated GDC Thannamandi for organizing this programme.
Principal of the College, Dr Shakeel Ahmed Raina presided over the function and in his presidential address advised the students that for eradicating the evils from the society they have to start from themselves and by keeping themselves away evils.
Sajid Javid of host College bagged first position, while the second position was claimed by Girthu Choudhary of GDC Noweshera where as 3rd position was clinched by Alham Mir of GDC Rajouri.
Earlier, the programme started with the recitation of the few verses of the Holy Quran by Abdul  Raouf.
NSS Programme Officer, Prof Saleem Ayaz Rather presented the welcome address. Prof. Junaid Jazib and two students Gohar Arzoo Chaand and Razia Dar jointly compared the programme. Dr. Naim-Un-Nisa, Prof. Sankait Gupta and Lecturer Sajad Ahmed adjudged the symposium, while Lecturer Yasir Amin presented the formal vote of thanks.
