Two mobile snatchers arrested

JAMMU, Jan 20: Channi Himmat police arrested two mobile snatchers.
As per police sources, on January 14, a complaint was lodged by Arjun, son of Bhavani Din, a resident of Madhya Pradesh stating that two unknown persons riding on a scooty snatched his Samsung mobile phone and ran away.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 4/16 under Section 382 RPC was registered at Channi Himmat police station and manhunt was launched to nab the accused snatchers.
On specific information, a team from Channi Himmat police station conducted raid and nabbed the mobile snatchers.
The accused have been identified as Vivek Kumar, son of Bodh Raj and Arjun Kumar, son of Krishan Lal, both residents of Channi Himmat.
On their disclosure, police recovered the snatched mobile phone and also seized the scooty bearing registration number JK02BK-1163, which was used in the commission of the offence.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
Police team headed by SHO Channi Himmat police station Inspector Sajad Haider made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
