JAMMU, Jan 21: Jammu and Kashmir Sambo Association felicitated the players of J&K Under-14 and Under-16 girls team today, who won overall Championship in the Nationals held recently.
The felicitation function was organized by the Association at Press Club, here today.
Shamsher Singh Manhas, Member of Parliament (MP) was the chief guest on the occasion, while Zorawar Singh, Secretary General, Press Club, Jammu was the guest of honour.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sanjeev Singh, president, J&K Sambo Association, Rohit Sadhotra, general secretary, Rajiv Kumar, Varinder Sharma, Suraj Bhan, Vikas Gupta, Joint Secretary, Judo Federation of India and Bhanu Jasrotia.
All the enthusiastic participants rejoiced at the awards distribution.
The medal winners included Sehar, Tanvi, Sajan, Kundan, Gulshan, Sparsh and Aditya Parihar (all gold); Manya Sharma, Aradhya, Payal, Akriti, Shrishti, Sawarn Singh, Awdesh Singh, Vasu Vaid, Rishav and Kanishka (all silver); Piyush Doodha, Gagan Singh, Akshay Sharma, Mritunjay Kotwal, Mohit Jamwal, Abhi Jai Partap, Gurleen, Kumakshi and Ridhima Jamwal.
Rameshwar Singh and Komal Gupta were the coaches of the team, while Neha Sharma was the manager.
