Army, Nirvana Academy organize essay writing competition

RAMBAN, Jan 21:  To celebrate the Republic Day, Kolhapur Terriers under the aegis of HQ 11 Sector, Delta Force in collaboration with Nirvana Academy, Ramban organized an essay writing competition at Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) High School, here today.
Brig K P Singh, Cdr HQ 11 Sector RR was the chief guest whereas  Lt Col Joy Das Gupta, SM, Officiating Commanding Officer 109 INF Battalion (TA) MARATHA LI under the aegis of Delta Force was the guest of honor on the occasion and Zonal Resource Person (ZRP) Pawan Kumar also presided over the function, while the competition was adjudicated by Major Naveen Pawar and Major Sandeep Singh.
A total of 60 students of different schools of Ramban were participated in the daylong competition.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest said such activities should organized frequently so that the students get the right platform to display their talent in extra co-circular activities.
He appreciated the efforts made army and Nirvana Academy Organizing Secretary Ramban Tahir Mushtaq besides the schools for conducting such events and in future the education cooperate them in conducting such activities.
Principal Bharatiya Vidya Mandir High School, Pardeep Singh Thakur thanked Army and Nirvana Academy for organizing the competition.
The first, second and third prize in the competition were won by Kajal Sonkhla from BVM High School, Ruffiya Malik from National Academy and Palvi Rai from BVM High School respectively, whereas Rahul Rajput from New Convent Secondary School and Sony Katoch from BVM High School bagged consolation prize.
