JAMMU, Jan 28: A man has been arrested for impersonating as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) from University of Jammu, falling under the jurisdiction of Nehru Market police post.
As per police sources, a complaint was received from DSW, University of Jammu, stating that a person namely Narinder Kumar, son of Tej Ram, a resident of Paddar, District Kishtwar is impersonating as DySP and threatening the Varsity staff.
Working over the complaint, Nehru Market police post apprehended the accused from the Varsity.
A case under FIR Number 31/16 under Section 419 and 420 RPC has been registered against the accused at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Nehru Market police post SI Balram Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Gandhi Nagar Bishnesh Kumar, SDPO South Sachin Gupta, SP South Shaazad Salaria and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
