KATHUA, Jan 28: Continuing the development process and interaction with the people, BJP State general secretary and MLA Kathua Constituency, Rajiv Jasrotia today kick-started the work for upgradation of lanes and drains at village Bhallar, at the cost of Rs 17 lac along with Sarpanch Kumar Manglam, Jagdish Punia, Roshan, Randir and all Villagers of Bhallar. The people also projected various other demands which were mainly related to construction of link roads, adequate health care facilities, water/power supply, sanitation, old age/widow pension, construction of community hall etc.
While responding to the demands, MLA gave assurance to the people that their demands would be met soon. He said that he is broadly focusing on the development programs for developing the Kathua Constituency and uplifting the living standards of the people.He asked the concerned officers to work collectively to ensure effective implementation of the programs being run for betterment and welfare of people. He said that he is working hard to strengthen the local self bodies in order to modernize the social resources.He said that participation of the people is required to identify development needs and to set priorities in integrated manner.
Jasrotia said that the he is keen to equip all the areas with quality roads, proper electricity supply, health care facilities, clean & regular supply of drinking water besides strengthening their Socio economic status. On the occasion, MLA said that this time no compromise will be done with the quality of work and special care will be taken in its execution. He himself will supervise the work so that the quality can be maintained and people don’t have to suffer in the future. MLA appealed to the residents of the area that if they find anything mischievous in the execution of the work they can directly come and register complaint with him. He directed the concerned department to complete the work in time and also take care that traffic doesn’t get interrupted due to this work.
