JAMMU, Jan 29: A man was killed in a road mishap in Channi Himmat area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a bike-borne youth identified as Deepak Sudan, son of Tilak Raj Sudan, a resident of Sarwal, was seriously injured tonight when a minibus bearing registration number JK02AM-2102 hit his bike bearing registration number JK02AW-7769 at Marble Market falling within the jurisdiction of police station Channi Himmat.
The injured youth was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead. The body of the deceased youth was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and efforts were on to nab the accused mini-bus driver, who managed to escape from the spot. However, both the vehicles involved in the mishap were seized.
