JAMMU, Jan 31: JK Assembly XI registered win against Secretariat Seniors XI in the 2nd JKP New Year Veteran T20 Cup for Senior Cricketers of the State, being played at Parade Ground , here today.
The tournament in which 6 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department and Aircel.
Batting first, Secretariat Seniors Club scored 91 runs in 18 overs. Ajaz was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Zahoor and GM Dar contributed 26 and 20 runs respectively. Amin and Nazir took 4 wickets each for JK Assembly XI, while Zubair took one wicket .
JK Assembly Sr. XI, in reply achieved the target in 10 overs by losing 3 wickets, thus won the match by 7 wickets. Ajaz was the main batsman who scored 43 runs while Muzamil scored 27 runs.Ajaz declared man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sandeep Manchanda, Vinod, Sunil Sambyal and Nitu Khokher.
