SSP Traffic inaugurates 2nd JKP New Year U-15 Tri-Series

JAMMU, Jan 31: JKP Juniors XI registered convincing win over Christian Sports Juniors XI in the 2nd JKP New Year Tri-Series for Under-15Bboys, which got underway at Parade Ground, here today.
The tournament in which three teams namely JKP Juniors, Christian Sports Juniors and KC Sports Club Juniors are participating is being organized jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Police Department and Christian Sports Organization .
The Organizing Committee includes Hilal Rather,Sanjay Mahajan,Rajesh Gill, David Mattoo,Asif Gill, Rajesh Dhar, RP Singh, Sunil Sambyal, Anand Tripathi and Sunny Gill.
Earlier, Mohan Lal, SSP Traffic Jammu inaugurated the Tournament in presence of RC Kotwal, SP Headquarters, DySP City, Vivek Shekar, Rajesh Dhar, RP Singh, Sunil Sambyal and organizing secretary, Rajesh Gill.
While speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in conducting this mega event for the under 15 boys and providing them good platform to showcase their skill and talent.
Winning the toss and batting first, JKP Juniors XI scored a good total of 101 runs in the allotted 16 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Shivansh and Rohan Gill were the main scorers for JKP Juniors, who made 31 and 17 runs respectively. From Christian Sports Juniors XI, Rahul took 3 wickets, while Yuvraj claimed 2 wickets.
In reply, Christian Sports Juniors XI managed to score 82 runs, thus lost the match by 19 runs. Kanya was the top scorer with unbeaten 62 runs, while Julius contributed 10 runs to the total. For JKP Juniors, Dhruv and Laith took 2 wickets each, while Adhishvar, Shivansh and Naren shared 1 wicket each. Shivansh was declared as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Danny, Nitu and Sandeep Manchanda, while the proceedings of the inauguration function were conducted by RP Singh.
