Lecture on ‘Broadcasting Skills’ organized

JAMMU, Feb 1: Language club and NSS unit of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, organized a lecture on ‘Broadcasting Skills’.
Dr Rita Jitender, former Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, who was the Resource Person,   emphasized on the use of stress, intonation and voice modulation while making presentation. She further made the students familiar with the variable speech patterns that help in Radio and other broadcasting services. She also traced the origin of Radio Kashmir Jammu and acquainted the students with the different modalities required to become a perfect Radio Jockey and announcer.
Dr Kiran Bakshi, Principal of the College, spoke about right presentation, which is the backbone of the broadcasting skills.
Prof Seema Mir, Convener of the Language Club, spoke on the importance of acquiring broadcasting skills for grooming the overall personality.
