JAMMU, Sept 8: In a landmark new initiative, for the first time in the history of Jammu & Kashmir, organizing series of Prashikshan Vargs (Training cum orientation camps) at district levels covering all the districts with the objective of educating the grassroot party workers at the lowest level about the history, ideology and future goals of the Party in the country and in the State.
The first inaugural session held at Bhaderwah for Kishtwar and Doda district was graced by Sham Choudhary MLA Suchetgarh and Ashok Koul State general secretary (Organisation). It was attended by over 100 Party activists. In the inaugural session Sham Choudhary said the motive is to educate the activists of the Party, who have been bestowed with some responsibility at Mandal level.
These Prashikshan Vargs will be spread over different sessions, with each session exclusively devoted to one particular subject with a senior leader speaking on the subject at length. The lecturers and discussions were held on important subjects said BJP State Secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, who is also State convenor of Prashikshan Varg.
Ashok Koul said that BJP has been organizing Prashikshan Vargs at State level in the past and recently such Vargs were also organized at Districts level for the first time. This Varg includes different sessions like “history and growth of BJP over the years, vision and ideology of BJP and the Sang Parivar, land marks in the past decades, future challenges and election strategies”.
The prominent who have attentded the Prashikshan Varg were Sunil Sharma (State Secretary), Shakti Parihar, Brij Mohan Sharma, Capt. (retd) Hukam Chand, Koshal Kotwal, Manjit Razdan, Des Raj Katal, Ishtiyaq Wani, Basant Raj, Gajay Singh, Mela Ram and others.
