JAMMU, Feb 4: A deputation of J&K School Education Officers Association (Headmaster Cadre), called on Commissioner Secretary School Education, Shaleen Kabra and discussed with him various issues, confronting the School Education officers.
The deputation, led by the Association president, S Paramjit Singh, highlighted the demands, such as regularization of all the Incharge officers, treating the service rendered by the officers as Non-vocational at par with counterparts, removal of pay anomalies of Headmasters, increase in promotional quota of Headmasters from 20 percent to 50 percent, change of nomenclature from Headmaster to Principal Secondary School, increasing posts of senior Headmasters, restoring back the posts of SEPOs and Dy CEOs to the officers promoted from the cadre of Headmaster, sanctioning and filling up the posts of ZEPOs, etc.
The deputation also apprised the Commissioner Secretary that vide order number 544-Edu of 2006, dated 28-12-2006, 77 officers were made Principals, out of that, 40 were Lecturers cadre and 34 from ZEOs. Moreover, vide order number 592-Edu dated 27-07-2009, out of 77 officers, the officers from Senior Lecturer cadre were regularized but officers from ZEO cadre were not regularized thus creating the disparity.
The Commissioner Secretary gave a patient hearing to the deputationists and assured them early redressal of their issues in general and regularization of officers in particular.
The deputation comprised of Kulwant Singh, Himmat Rai, Bachan Lal, H D Sharma, Behari Lal, Jagmohan, Ramesh Chander, Kasturi Lal and others.
