JAMMU,  Feb 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) has urged the State Governor N N Vohra to reframe one time settlement package for Displaced Persons (DPs) of  1947 from PoK and other categories under the guidelines of  Joint Parliamentary Committee Report and also gear up the machinery to expedite the process for early disbursement of Rs 2000 crore announced by the Prime Minister.

Mr Singh claimed that Governor is great  sympathizer of  the DPs and he can project their issue in better way before  the Union Government.  He urged the Governor N N Vohra to stress upon the Central Government  to spell out in detail the contours of their one time settlement formula so that DPs could understand and cooperate the Government to arrive at a reasonable settlement to resolve this issue once for all.  He further urged the  Governor to advise his Revenue ad Relief authorities  to prepare a simple format with simple formalities required for the identification as DPs to avoid their being harassed at the hands of vested elements within the organization.
