District Udhampur claims Inter District Cricket C’ship title

JAMMU, Sept 9: District Udhampur thrashed district Reasi in the finals and claimed the title trophy of the Inter District under-14 Cricket Championship, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports at Government Degree College Boys, Udhampur.
Batting first, district Reasi scored a total of 53 runs in allotted 12 overs, for the loss of all the wickets.
In reply, district Udhampur chased the target in 11.3 overs for the loss of 6 wickets.
On the valedictory function, Additional SP, Benam Tosh, was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winner and runner-up teams vis-à-vis medals to all the players, in presence of Sukhdev Singh, DYSSO Udhampur, Bhushan Kumar, Champa Devi, Balwan Singh and Usha Bhat, ZPEOs, PEMs and PETs of the department.
Meanwhile, MLA Udhampur, Balwant Singh Mankotia, awarded Rs 3,000 and Rs 15,00 to the winner and runner-up teams and Rs 500 for district Jammu team.
The matches were officiated by Raj Kumar, Swarandeep Singh, Sunil Sharma, Shashi Sharma and Rajesh Sharma.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO), Udhampur.
