FCCI organizing ‘Friends Cricket Cup’

JAMMU, Sept 9: Friends Cricket Club India (FCCI) in collaboration with Indian Council for Enviro-Legal Action (ICELA) is organizing mega cricket tournament “Friends Cricket Cup”, in the first week of October.
This was stated by Susheel Jamwal, vice president, FCCI, during a meeting of committee members. He said that the tournament would strive to bring platform in order to ensure unity and national integrity.
He said that tournament would be played on knockout basis followed by t20 format, in which 50 teams will compete for the mega title.
The winning team will get an amount of Rs 1,00,000 and the runner-up teams will get an amount of Rs 51,000, he said, adding, that the man of the match will get Rs 11,000 and man of the tournament a motorcycle.
Other cash prizes includes, best batsman of the tournament, best bowler, best fielder, maximum sixes award, most stylish player, highest runs partnership, best bowling figures, etc, he added.
Registrations are declared open for teams from today till September 30.
Organizing secretary, FCCI, Rajiv Jandial, said that the tournament is aimed at promoting mutual harmony, trust and friendship in the society in general and youth in particular.
