Sir,
This is to draw the attention of the Director General of Police towards the plight of pensioners who retired between 1998 and April 2003.
At present whenever a police official retires he is paid a hefty sum of Rs 50,000 which to some extent meets some of his needs.
However, the pensioners (1998-2003) were paid a meagre sum of Rs. 20,000 only. This is quite discriminatory and totally injustice with them.
Therefore, it is requested that these pensioners be also compensated in a similar manner.
