Nav Adarsh HSS organises academic prize distribution function

JAMMU, Feb 13: Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School, Kathua today organized the annual academic prize distribution function in its school premises, here today.
The function comprised of the showcasing of talents of the young-buds of the school and the prize giving ceremony to the best students in various spheres.
Sardar Khan, retired SP presided over the function. The function started with traditional lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana.
Welcome address was presented by Riti Prakash, which was followed by spectacular cultural performances by the junior wing of the school. Tiny tots of the school beautifully presented various activities based upon different themes. The dance performance based on Patriotic theme stole the show. Students also presented two plays which showed the social evils like dowry system and female foeticide.
Later students were awarded by the guests for their brilliant performances in the academic year 2014-15. Students securing distinctions in S.S.E and H.S.P II 2014-15 were also awarded.
In his speech , the chief guest appreciated the efforts of the school and congratulated the management, faculty and students for regularly bringing laurels to the school in various curricular and co-curricular activities.
In the end chairman of the school Gandharab Singh Katal delivered vote of thanks.
The proceedings of the function were conducted by Lecturer Geetanjli Sharma, Sumeet and Rashmi.
