SRINAGAR: Terming the linking of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) protests with 26/11 Mumbai attack mastermind Hafiz Saeed by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh as a new low of the NDA Government, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah today said evidence if any must be shared with all.

Taking a dig at Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for sharing power in Jammu and Kashmir with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which termed Afzal Guru hanging a “travesty of justice,” he also criticised PDP for remaining silent over JNU episode and said both the parties can sacrifice their respective ideologies for a share of the pie.

Talking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the working president of the National Conference (NC) said, cracking down on students & using #HafizSaeed to justify the crack down is a new low, even for this NDA Government?

That #HafizSaeed supported the #JNU protests is a very serious charge to level against the students. The evidence must be shared with all, he further said in the tweet.

The Home Minister must go public with the evidence collected that enabled him to level this charge against the #JNU students, Mr Abdullah said.   He said, this is the same BJP that Mehbooba Mufti is negotiating with. No wonder she’s completely silent & hasn’t said a word about the #JNUCrackdown.

In Delhi impose sedition, in J&K ally with PDP that termed Afzal Guru hanging a “travesty of justice”, Mr Abdullah said adding that who said the two parties can’t sacrifice their respective ideologies for a share of the pie. (agencies)
