Heritage School celebrates ‘MOUJ-Moments of Unlimited Joy’

JAMMU, Feb 14: A Kindergarten Admission Fest ‘MOUJ-Moments of Unlimited Joy’ was held in Heritage School with fervour and enthusiasm, here today.
The school grounds came alive with rainbow coloured buntings and balloons representing various skills within each child.
The Fest began with the Principal’s welcome address followed by various Presentations, Healthcare tips, Jolly Phonics workshop and activities for children and their families.
Heritage school has tied up with Education and Health International-EHI, an organization based at Mumbai and specializing in continuous professional development of teachers, English language development, skill based curriculum, laying equal stress on health and maintaining completely child centred approach for holistic education.
Anju Mehta, Dir EHI, gave a presentation of the entire process corroborating it with testimonials of stakeholders – the parents. She was joined by Suma Chacko, vice president Language and Communication with EHI, with valuable inputs about English language development.
The Presentation was followed by a Parenting Workshop on healthcare by Dr Nidhi Gupta, Children’s health and Parenting expert with EHI.
Amongst the visiting faculty was Hema J Chandra Founder Director of Word Masti Phonics and Grammar Institute, who holds a Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers from the University of Cambridge, CIE, UK.
While the Amphi Theatre of the school echoed with the excited laughter of children enjoying colouring activities, the other part of the school grounds witnessed dream castles coming up as the entire family participated in ‘making your sand castle’ activity.
The activities conducted were aimed at making the entire Heritage family participate as a team. The same thought was emphasized when prizes were given away to the families displaying co-ordination in sand castle activity and in various other light hearted activities such as being dressed up in the same colour, carrying their family photograph, etc.
Apart from the parents, the other dignitaries who attended the Fest were the very distinguished Mamta Singh, Vidya Ilango, Special Educator from Delhi and heads of various Pre Primary Schools of Jammu.
The Fest concluded with the vote of thanks by the Headmistress.
