74 J&K boys visit Pune, Goa

JAMMU, Feb 14: Under ‘Apna Watan Project’ of  J&K Police,  a group of 74 students drawn from various areas of J&K visited Pune and Goa besides other historical places at Mumbai and Delhi.
Coordinated by SSP Roop Raj, Commandant of 17th  IR Battalion, this trip was organised by J&K police for making the students of J&K aware of developments taking place in other parts of the country and also provide them exposure.  The tour was flagged off by DGP,  K Rajindra  on February 3 from Jammu.
The students visited many historical places  at Goa, Mumbai and Pune  and were highly enthusiastic  to see the ocean first time. They also visited Gateway of India, Marine Drive at Mumbai and  Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park and Wild Life Research Centre at Pune. The group will be returning to Jammu on February 15. They are  accompanied by three Police officers.
