Dogra Law College organizes Inter-School Debate Competition

JAMMU, Feb 15: Dogra Law College organized 5th Matushri Inter-School Debate Competition 2016 on the topic “In the opinion of the house, “Qualified Legislators shall be conducive for Democracy and Good Governance”.
In all, 18 participants from different Schools of the Jammu and Samba districts  participated in the contest.
Th Gulchain Singh Charak presided over the function. He lauded the efforts of the participants in preparing themselves for such contest which provide an opportunity to sharpen their mind and enriching their power of reasoning. He also distributed the prizes and mementoes to the participants.
He stressed upon the importance of organizing such type of Debate Competition so that the young minds are trained and given exposure by deliberating upon such topic which help in the overall personality of children and the development of  Nation as well.
Prerna Nanda, Librarian, Dogra College of Education, Poonam Gupta, Principal Dogra Degree College and Sunil Sharma, Lecturer Dogra Law College were the Jury members.
Sarah Irshad from Delhi Public School bagged first prize, while the second prize was won by Seerat Sharma from Presentation Convent School and the third prize was claimed by Dipinder Deep Bhatt from KC International School.
Consolation prizes were won by Lovleeta from Army Public School and Vrinda Salgotra from K.C. International School.
The running trophy was won by KC International School.
Kr Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary Dogra Educational Trust and Kr. Gambhir Singh Charak, Member Trustee were also present on the occasion.
Dr Komila Aggarwal, Principal Dogra Law College presented the welcome note and the vote of thanks was presented by Sumiksha Razdan.
