JAMMU, Feb 16: New Challenger Cricket Club defeated Shastri Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the ongoing KC Sports Club T20 Cricket Cup 2016 to enter finals at KC School ground, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and electing to bat first, Shastri Club made 132 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. From batting side, Chander made 35 runs and Amit and Rompy contributed 27 and 22 runs respectively. For New Challenger Club, Aakash, Vijay, Manjeet and Sumit shared 1 wicket each.
New Challenger CC, in reply, chased the target in just 19.1 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Vijay Dogra made 34 runs while Pranav and Bansi Lal contributed 31 and 27 runs respectively. For Shastri Club, Arvind, Vishal, Vicky and Amit shared 1 wicket each. Vijay Dogra of New Challenger CC was adjudged as man of the match.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Madan Lal and Vinod.
Now, New Challenger CC will take on Simula Cricket Club in the finals.
