JAMMU, Feb 16: A woman and her 7-month baby girl were injured today in a household fire in Bhagwati Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the woman identified as Zeena (40 wife of Hussaini Ram, a resident of UP, at present living in Bhagwati Nagar, this morning lit traditional chulla with firewood to cook food. As the woman was busy in some other work, her 7-month old female baby namely Santosh came in contact with the fire and received about 10% burn injuries. In a bid to rescue the baby, the woman also received some minor injuries.
Both mother and baby were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment.
