JAMMU, Feb 17: Divisi-onal Traffic Manager (DTM), Railways, Jammu division, Sudhir Kumar Singh along with staff and Railways Protection Force (RPF) today carried out inspection of various trains on Jammu-Katra section and detected 85 passengers travelling in trains without tickets.
Official sources said the DTM and his teams imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 on the passengers travelling without tickets on the Katra bound trains.
The passengers were cautioned that they could face more fine and action if they were found travelling in the trains without tickets again.
Sources said checking of trains on different routes would continue to curb the menace of ticket free travel by some passengers.
