JAMMU, Sept 10: Government Degree College, Bishnah organised an Essay writing competition in connection with week-long celebrations of “Hindi Divas”.
The topic of the competition was “Rajbhasha-Rashtriyabhasha: Hindi ka Puran Parchay”, in which students of BA Part III participated and expressed their views on the importance of the rashtriyabhasha.
In the competition, Sadhana Sandhu and Rimpy Sharma were adjudged as first and second, whereas, the third position was shared by Amandeep and Geeta Devi.
During the competition, Dr Vijay Sharma, Dr Seema Jamwal and Prof Preeti Dogra, were the jury members.
Prof Kalpana Kesar, Principal of the college, also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of Hindi language.
The competition was organised under the supervision of Prof Sunita Gupta, HOD, Hindi.
