UPSC declares civil services main exam results

NEW DELHI, Feb 20:
The results of civil services main examination have been declared by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Thousands of students had appeared in the prestigious civil services examination conducted annually by the UPSC to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.
The examination is conducted in three stages— preliminary, main and interview.
A total of 15,008 candidates had qualified in the preliminary examination. A list of successful candidates who have qualified in the main test, results of which were announced last night, has been put up on the Commission’s website—www.Upsc.Gov.In.
The main examination were held between December 18 to 23, last year. The personality test or interview of the selected candidates is likely to commence from March 8, 2016, the Commission said.
The successful candidates have been advised to download e-Summon letters from the Commission’s website, which would be available from Tuesday onwards.
“No paper summon letters will be issued for the personality test or interview by the Commission,” it said.
No request for change in the date and time of the personality test, intimated to the candidates, will be entertained under any circumstances, the UPSC said. (PTI)
