JAMMU, Feb 26: Nehru House and Ashoka House registered convincing victories over their rivals to advance in the ongoing Inter-House Hostel T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Physical Director GGM Science College, Dr Vinod Bakshi at Hostel ground, here.
In first match which was played between Tagore House and Nehru House, batting first, Tagore House made 92 runs, while Nehru House chased the target in 11 overs and won the match by 5 wickets. Shubam Salaria of Nehru House made 44 runs in 28 balls and got three wickets. He was declared as man of the match.
The 2nd match was the semifinal, which was played between Ambedkar House and Ashoka House. Ashoka House scored 132 runs and Ambedkar House managed to score 105 runs in 13 overs, thus Ashoka House won the match by 27 runs and entered into the final of the tournament. Vivek Singh Rathore scored 50 runs in 37 balls and Sidharth contributed 46 runs in 33 balls. Vivek Singh Rathore was declared as man of the match.
The second semifinal will be played between Nehru House and Vivekananda House at the same venue tomorrow.
