Jammu Police organizes ‘Chhoona Hai Aasmaan’ Season-5

JAMMU, Mar 1: Jammu Police continuing with its mission for channelizing the energy of the youth in positive direction and providing them a platform to showcase their talent, organized a Talent Hunt Programme (Chhoona Hai Aasmaan, Season-5) in which hundreds of contestants drawn from different parts of District Jammu including rural and border areas participated.
It was the endeavor of J&K Police to give platform to the budding artists, who aspire to perform at state and country level. There were four categories of solo singing both Male/Female, under 16 yrs (junior) and above 16 years (senior) categories.
The judges on the occasion were Hitesh Badyal, president, Nirvana Academy, Jammu and  Kalpana Kesar, president Rashtriya Uchkaram Shiksha Abiyan, Channi Himmat, Jammu.
The winner of the junior category male was Kunwar Langer and junior category female was Mehvish Sharma and the winner of senior category male was Vishal Pandita and senior category female was Sushmita who were awarded a cash prize of Rs 2000 each. The 1st runner-up of junior category male was Satish Bhagat and junior female was Varsha Jamwal and the senior category male was Shubham Banergee and senior category female was Shreya Gandral, who were awarded a cash prize of Rs 1,000 each and the 2nd runners-up junior category female was Ridhima and Suhani and the senior category male was Rajesh Gaind and the senior category female was Vishakha Bandral  who were awarded a cash prize of Rs 500 each. The winner of this programme have to participate in the range level competition.
The contestants and their families and the general public present on the occasion appreciated the efforts of J&K Police in organizing such Talent Hunt programme for not only promotion of Art and Culture but giving a positive direction to the youth to present themselves at the national arena, by showcasing their talent in other popular Talent Hunt programmes on TV.
Ashkoor Ahmed Wani, DIG J-K-S Range was the chief guest on the occasion and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand was guest of honour who gave away the cash prizes and trophies to the winners, along with SP Rural, Rajeev Pandey, SP Hqrs Jammu, R C.Kotwal, DySP City North, Vivek Shekhar, DySP Hqrs. Jammu, Sugandha Mahajan, and CPO NHRC, Rajesh Gill, while RC Kotwal, SP Hqrs Jammu presented vote of thanks.
