*Pargalta Friends outclasses Panjgrain Phantoms

BAJALTA, Mar 5: Nagola Knight Riders defeated  Pounthal Chalana Rockets  and Pargalta Friends trounced Panjgrain Phantoms in the Maruti Suzuki Nagrota Premier League Tournament, an initiative of MLA Devender Singh Rana at Bajalta Playfield in the Nagrota Assembly Constituency, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Pounthal Chalana Rockets managed to score 90 runs only after losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 14 overs.
In reply, Nagola Knight Riders scored 91 runs after losing 5 wickets in 11 overs, thus won the match by 5 wickets. Arun Jamwal of Nagola Knight Riders was declared as man of the match for his all-round performance. He scored valuable 19 runs and took 2 important wickets.
The second match was played between Pargalta Friends and Panjgrain Phantoms.
Winning the toss, Panjgrain Phantoms decided to field first. Pargalta Friends managed to score 117 for 6 in the stipulated 14 overs. Nikhil top scored with 36 runs, while Koushal contributed 29 runs to the total.
In reply, Panjgrain Phantoms failed to chase the target and managed to score 90 runs in 13 overs, losing all wickets, thus lost the match by 27 runs. Nikhil was declared as man of the match.
The matches were officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Madan Mohan and Suresh from the Department of Youth Services and Sports, J&K.
Besides cricket lovers from Nagrota and Jammu, the matches were witnessed by Sarpanch Nagola Ragubeer Singh.
Both the matches were played under the overall supervision of Faheem Tak, Vice President Take-1 Channel and Member Organizing Committee.
