NC Minority Cell delegation calls on Ganai, CAPD Secy

JAMMU, Mar 11: A delegation of National Conference (NC) Minority Cell led by M K Yogi its president called on Advisor to Governor Khurshid Ahmad Ganai and apprised him of the various problems being faced by the displaced Pandits.
The problems discussed by the delegation were concerning PM package employees, implementation of NFSA, denial of RBA certificates to migrants etc.
Mr Yogi informed the Advisor to Governor that PM employment package was announced long before in 2008 by then PM Dr Manmohan Singh and it was not implemented till date in letter and spirit. He sought personnel intervention of Advisor in implementation of the package. He said the youth who had given interviews last year under the package could not get the appointment orders till date, He demanded that 3000 posts be also advertised soon.
On the National Food Security Act, Yogi said that it was unnecessarily thrust upon the displaced people from Valley. They being relief holders have no agriculture land, no property and no houses of their own. Some of them are living in TRTs and others in rented houses which they are unable to afford. Having no source of income except relief they can’t also afford purchase of rice from marked after reducing the ration from 9 kg per soul to five kgs, he added.
He said that the migrants are getting the benefits under SRE and hence they can’t fall under NFSA. Yogi demanded that nine kg rice, two kgs flour and one kg sugar be given to them as earlier.
Expressing concern over denial of RBA benefit to migrants belonging to RBA areas Yogi said it is not known why the same was denied to them.
Later, delegation also met Commissioner Secretary, CAPD and Special Secretary CAPD and apprised them of the problems created after the implementation of NFSA.
Bal Krishan Bhat , Sanjay Kaul, Amit Koul, Ramesh Bharti, T N Koul, M K Koul, Master Moti Lal, Sanjay Koul and others were present in the meeting.
