SRINAGAR, Mar 16: DFA Pulwama and SRTC XI defeated their rivals convincingly in the ongoing 24th State Championships in Football 2016, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, here.
In the first match, DFA Pulwama defeated DFA Bandipora by three goals to nil (3-0). The scorers were Zahid, Raqib and Zeeshan Bashir.
In another match between DFA Anantnag and J&K SRTC, the latter dominated the game from the word go and succeeded in scoring two back to back goals through Mudasar and Shafat.
In the second half, DFA Anantnag after conceding third goal, scored by Rafiq of SRTC, came back strongly to score back to back goals to reduce the margin and make it (3-2).Finally SRTC won by the same margin.
In tomorrow’s fixture, F&S XI will take on DFA Sopore at 3:30 pm.
