UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: District Administration, Udhampur, disbursed assistance of Rs 12.43 crore to 2483 flood affected families under Prime Minister’s Development Plan (PMDP). The assistance was transferred electronically directly to bank accounts for reconstruction of damaged houses.
An amount of Rs 2.60 crore has been released in favour of 244 affected families in Tehsil Udhampur, Rs 54.70 lakh to 226 families of Tehsil Ramnagar, 1.25 cr to 52 families of Tehsil Panchari, Rs 52 lakh to 125 affected families of Tehsil Moungri, Rs 70.50 lakh to 79 affected families of Tehsil Majalta, Rs 79 lakh to 110 affected families of Tehsil Latti, Rs 4.06 cr to 1442 affected families of Tehsil Chenani and Rs 1.95 cr to 205 affected families of Tehsil Basantgarh.
Theses cases included 1091 Kacha houses Partially damaged, 466 Kachha severely damaged, 853 Kachha fully damaged, 54 Pacca partially damaged, 5 Pacca severely damaged and 14 houses Pacca fully damaged making a total of 2483 cases. Meanwhile, 5200 other cases have been submitted to National Disaster Management Authority for additional relief under Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund and additionally under PMDP.
Asstt Commissioner Revenue Rajiv Magotra, District Informatics Officer Anil Sharma and Tehsil HQA Shabir Ahmed disbursed the assistance thorough e-payment under supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary. List of the families provided assistance has been hosted on website of DC office for general public information.
Tehsildars have been directed to ensure that funds are utilised on reconstruction of houses and any assistance required by families shall be extended by Tehsildars abd BDOs.
Meanwhile, rehabilitation plan for 132 flood affected families of Saddal village in Moungri has been designed under convergence of PMDP with IAY, SBM and PMDP for construction houses housing colonies at 4 identified locations.
