JAMMU, Mar 22: Voicing concern over reported move of Government formation between PDP and BJP, Panun Kashmir (PK) today asked the Government of India to reject the Agenda of Alliance as the basis of any political alliance for government formation in the State because it will prove counter productive to national interests.
Any dithering on the subject will further undermine the national resolve and efforts to meet the challenge of armed fundamentalist separatism in the State, Panun Kashmir convener, Dr Agnishekhar and its chairman, Dr Ajay Chrungoo told reporters here today.
Challenging the PDP-BJP alliance the PK leaders termed PDP a pro subversive party and cautioned the BJP for joining hands with it again. Criticizing the Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitely and his recent statement, Dr Ajay Chrungoo said that Mr Jaitely is a votary for aligning with separatist PDP. He asked -will PDP supremo, Ms Mehbooba Mufti leave her pro separatist agenda or Government of India will embrace her Party agenda?
Challenging the BJP and PDP for joining hands again for forming coalition in the State, Dr Agnishekhar said PDP says new conditions and BJP says no new conditions are acceptable. He wanted to know what are these new conditions.
He said has Hurriyat Conference which is ruling roost in Kashmir given green signal and Government of India should make it clear on whose dictates the nation is being run.
Ajay Chrungoo, while terming the Agenda of Alliance as ambiguous, said it is neither the agenda of nation nor the government of India but the agenda of two parties. He demanded that any Government framed in the State should be in national interests. He asked has BJP agreed some conditions of Mehbooba Mufti of later has agreed BJP’s conditions.
The PK leaders also strongly opposed to withdrawal of army from various parts of the State saying this will also embolden the subversives who term Kashmir as an occupied territory of Indian forces.
Senior PK leader O N Trisal and Daya Krishan were also present in the press conference.
