JAMMU, Mar 22: Global Sampark Youth Club and Helpline Humanity in association with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Jammu, organized District Sports Tournaments at Jagti Township, here.
The inaugural function began with the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest and other the othger dignitaries present on the occasion.
Around 200 youth are participating in this Tournament, which include four teams of Volleyball, two teams of Kabbadi, two team of Kho-Kho, four teams of Football, four teams of Cricket and participants of athletics.
Senior BJP leader Moti Koul was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of the organization to hold such mega events, adding that youth are important force in nation building and sports and games develop the spirit of brotherhood and nationalism.
Earlier, the welcome addressed was present by M K Bhat, president Helpline Humanity.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion were Chairman Organising Committee, Col G K Raina, Sameer Bhat, Vice Chairman, Global Sampark Youth Club, Jagti, Roshan Lal, Managing Director HEE-MAA Public School Jagti and Omesh Raina, vice president Kashyap Sports Club.

In tomorrow’s fixtures, Kvians Club will take helpline Humanity Youth Club and Global Sampark Youth Club will face Royal Club in volleyball, while 200 and 500 meter races will be held in athletics.
