NEW DELHI: Australian eves posted 132 for six against England in the first semi-final of the ICC Women World T20 at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium here today.
Put in to bat first, Australian openers got off to a steady start with Alyssa Healy (25) and Elyse Villani (19) slamming 41-run in six overs. Just when the duo looked good, Villani was trapped in-front of the wicket off Sciver. Her 20-ball knock was laced with four boundaries.
After the fall of first wicket, soon Healy was also trapped in-front of the wicket in the seventh over off Luara Marsh. Australia was now at 50 for two in seven overs. Incoming batswoman Meg Lanning (55) and Ellyse Perry (10) then tried to steadied the innings but Perry was taken by Sciver while trying for a boundary at mid-wicket. (AGENCIES)
