Samba boys, Jammu girls lift Kho-Kho titles

JAMMU, Mar 30: Samba boys and Jammu girls won the titles in the Sub Junior State Kho-Kho Championship, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Kho-Kho Association in collaboration with J&K state Sports Council AT Samba.
The chief guest on the occasion was Joginder Singh, SSP Samba who gave away prizes to the winning team and mementoes to the officials and office bearers of the Association.
In the final match of Boys, Samba A defeated Jammu district by 1 point in a very close contested (14-13), while the third place was shared by Samba B and Baramulla.
In girls section, the final match was played between Jammu and Samba A which was won by Jammu District by 3 points and an inning (7-4) and the third place was jointly shared by Srinagar and Pulwama.
Mohit Sharma of Samba and Harneet Kour of Jammu were declared best player of the tournament.
Vote of thanks was given by  Manmeet singh(president JK State Kho-Kho Association.
Officials of the matches were Anil Kumar, Palbinder Singh, Ajit Singh, Balbir Singh, Jagdev Singh, Pooja, Ankush, Manmohan Sharma, Partap Thakur, Shivali Bhau and Sakhshi Antal.
