Smart Class Rooms need of hour: DG Sports

SRINAGAR, Mar 30: Director General Youth Services & Sports, Jahangir Mir  today visited the College Campus of Physical Education College Ganderbal to take stock of the facilities being provided to the students who undergo different professional/ technical courses in the campus. Mir was accompanied by Deputy Director Central of YS and Sports, Haji Mirza Hussain.
Pertinently Physical Education College Ganderbal has the distinction of being the only such college in the State of J&K, where courses like Bachelors in Physical Education (BPEd) and Masters in Physical Education (MPEd) are being offered/taught.
After a formal inspection of the classrooms, a long session of a cordial interaction of DG YS&S took place with the students and faculty members of the college. DG Jahangir Mir later attended theory lecture together with students in a class & also had question answer session.
He issued necessary instructions to the Principal of the College Dr Hartej Singh and his colleagues for the up gradation of teaching facilities from the traditional classroom to the modern facilities of Smart Class Rooms for the effective teaching learning process.
Meanwhile the interview and viva voice test of the aspiring candidates of Bachelors of Physical Education concluded today at Physical Education College Ganderbal. A total no of 107 candidates from twin divisions of Kashmir and Ladakh had applied for the said course. The Physical Fitness test and viva voice of the Jammu based candidates for the said course will commence on April 4, 2016 at Jammu.
