Freight rates decline on excess position of trucks

NEW DELHI, Apr 2:  Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section declined by Rs 1,000 at the local truck transport market in the national capital today following excess position of trucks against restricted cargo movements.
Transporters said large position of trucks in the market against cargo movements, mainly pulled down freight rates.
Delhi to Mumbai, Baroda and Ahmedabad freight rates dropped by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 27,000, Rs 22,000 and Rs 20,000.
Also, Freights to Goa, Coimbatore and Hyderabad moved down by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 52,000, Rs 70,000 and Rs 50,000.
Rates to Bengaluru, Patna and Surat too eased by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 60,000, Rs 24,000 and Rs 25,000.
